TRACK 1:
Tailored academic programming, intensive therapeutic and behavioral supports in a trauma informed environment that inspires academic success and personal growth. The use of applied behavior analysis, positive behavior supports, and integrated social skills training are integral parts of our Academy program. Multi-level positive reinforcement interventions are used throughout the day, with a focus on antecedent strategies. Sensory integration is stressed and sensory breaks are delivered throughout the day by our multidisciplinary team of professionals. Monthly field trips to help educate and practice skills in the community as well as weekly community-based instruction used to reinforce academic, functional and social skills acquired within the classroom setting.
TRACK 2:
Students participate in a variety of functional academic and activities of daily living (ADL’s) in order to enhance their ability to live and work more independently. Community-based instruction is used to reinforce academic and functional skills acquired within the classroom setting. Students gain the functional life skills that are essential to becoming active participants within their home, school, work and community environments.
Our caring and well-trained team of professionals tailors each student’s educational experience and strategic interventions to achieve success in academic achievement, language abilities, social development and behavioral functioning. LifeWorks Academy maintains low staff to student ratios to ensure individualized student centered programming. The goal for each student is to naturalize the skills necessary for success.
