Externalizing & Conduct
Disorder Program
LifeWorks School’s Externalizing and Conduct Disorder Program (ECD) focuses on skill development in the areas of problem solving, anger management, accepting responsibility, social skills and communication skills. The program focuses on teaching students to understand their feelings, problem solving, conflict resolution skills and appropriate assertiveness.
Students learn strategies for increasing physiological awareness, self-talk and self control during problem situations. Therapeutic resolution, behavior management, restitution and restorative practices are all utilized in helping the student to meet their full potential.
Students appropriate for the ECD Program may have challenges with:
- Conduct disorder
- Oppositional defiant disorder
- Behavioral difficulties
- Aggressive behaviors
