The Admissions Process to LifeWorks Schools in Pennsylvania
LifeWorks Schools are a network of private, academic schools that serve the academic, behavioral and counseling needs of elementary, middle and high school students through a spectrum of innovative programs. Our students take ownership of the learning process and come to appreciate their individuality through skills, values and principles they can apply beyond the classroom.
LifeWorks Schools provides a continuum of educational and behavioral health services to serve the unique needs of our students. Our mission is to provide our students with the skills needed to reach their full potential and become productive citizens.
We strive to be the region’s provider of choice for academic and behavioral programming. The services we offer are founded on four essential values: safety, integrity, service excellence and best practices.
Before Intake
Our admissions process begins when a referral from the student’s local education agency or designee is made to LifeWorks. After a referral is made, an intake may be scheduled. The student along with their parent, guardian and in some cases support staff along with school district representatives will be invited to tour the school as well as discuss the student’s needs and goals.
Once a student is referred by the student’s local education agency or designee, the LifeWorks intake department will typically call the family within 1-2 business days in order to schedule an in-person clinical intake. During the intake, your child’s educational, social and behavior goals will be discussed along with classroom programming and resources to best support your child.
Intake
You don’t need to bring anything but your student to the intake. LifeWorks intake department will:
- Discuss LifeWorks programs, treatments and services.
- Go over the student’s academic background and history.
- Review the student’s social, emotional and behavioral needs.
- Firmly understand the goals of both the child and their family.
- Provide an informative tour around the school and campus to display the programs LifeWorks has to offer.
After Intake

To schedule an intake, admission staff are available Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. We do not offer walk-ins.
